NotesThe death certificates of Lucia and her husband indicate that they arrivedin US about 8 years apart - could have been married here(?). Birth years on Lucia's and Luigi's death certificates are apparently incorrect - they would have been born somewhat later, in keeping with ages given on the birth certificate for Maria. 1900 Census gives birth as September, 1869. In addition, family tradition holds that the two were about 11 years apart in age. If Lucia were born in 1876, they would be 21 years apart! Living at 60 Chester Ave., Brooklyn at time of death. *** D'ESPOSITO, LUCIA - LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT *** COPY OF THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF LUCIA D'ESPOSITO DECEASED KING'S COUNTY SURROGATE'S COURT ALBERT J. MARINO COUNSELOR AT LAW 261 Broadway New York, NY I, LUCIA D'ESPOSITO, of the Borough of Brooklyn, City and State of New York, make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all wills heretofore made by me. FIRST: I hereby nominate and appoint my children, ANTHONY D'ESPOSITO and JOSEPHINE LAURO to, and direct that they shall be and they hereby are authorized to receive and collect the rents, issues, income and profits from any and all real property of which I may die seized or possessed, and to deposit all moneys collected thereby in a bank within the City of New York to the credit of my estate, and that all taxes, charges or other lawful expenses against said real property be paid therefrom. SECOND: I hereby nominate and appoint my children, ANTHONY D'ESPOSITO and JOSEPHINE LAURO and direct that they shall be and they hereby a authorized to sell any and all real property of which I may die seized or possessed, either at public or private sale within a reasonable time after my decease as they shall deem most advantageous and to the best interest of my estate upon such terms and conditions and in such manner as shall be most favorable to my estate, and I direct that the proceeds from such sale be deposited to the credit of my estate and that from the proceeds of such sale, I give, devise and bequeath unto my son, ANTHONY D'ESPOSITO the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars. THIRD: All the rest, residue and remainder of my property and estate, both real and personal, and wheresoever situate, which at the time of my death shall belong to me or be subject to my disposal by will, I give, devise and bequeath unto all of my children, JOSEPHINE LAURO, JULIA RUSSO, ANNA PICCERELLA, MARY BUONO, LUISA LoDOLCE and ANTHONY D'ESPOSITO, living at the time of my death and the issue of any such child predeceasing me leaving issue surviving in equal shares per stirpes. FOURTH: I hereby nominate and appoint ALBERT J. MARINO to be my executor of this my last will and testament, and I direct that he shall not be required to give any bond or security whatsoever. Oktober nach langem Leiden sanft dem Herrn entschlafen ist. Die Beerdigung findet statt am Freitag, den 26. Oktober, Nachmittags 3 Uhr, vom Trauerhause, No. 527 15. Strasse, nach 10. Avenue, Brooklyn. Die trauernden Hinterbleibenen. Translation: Friedrich Konemann, age 87, has gone to sleep in the Lord on October 23, after much suffering. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 26 at 3 P.M., at his late residence, 527 15th Street at 10th Avenue, Brooklyn. The grieving survivors. (Newspaper unknown) ******* A Frederick D. Konemann applied for citizenship on 16-Oct-1867 in Kings County Supreme Court (Liber 19, Page 238). Unknown if the same, although very probable.
